Shirley Thompson is a producer, writer, and editor of documentaries, including Promesa (2024), The ‘Ilima Lady (2023), The Last Rodeo (2022), Embers of Awakening (2021), Finding Kukan (2016), Pidgin: The Voice of Hawai‘i (2008), and Surfing for Life (2000). A New Orleans native who worked in San Francisco and Dallas, she has been based in Honolulu since 2010.
