Sheryl Recinos, MD, MAEd, is the author of an award-winning memoir about surviving youth homelessness, Hindsight: Coming of Age on the Streets of Hollywood. Recinos also serves on the Emerging Leaders Council at My Friends Place in Hollywood, CA, where she also funds a scholarship for youth. Recinos advocates for young people in foster care, the juvenile justice system, and youth experiencing homelessness.
