Kathleen Rooney heads transportation-related policy for Ulupono Initiative, a Hawai‘i-based organization that uses non-profit grants and advocacy to support local food growth, increase clean and renewable energy, and reduce waste. Rooney’s current projects include advancement of a multimodal transportation system in Hawai‘i, improving parking policies, and ensuring transportation investments meet community and climate goals. She earned an MA in public policy from the University of Maryland-College Park and a BA in political science from Tulane University.
