Eugene Richardson

Harvard medical professor Eugene Richardson received his MD from Cornell and his PhD in anthropology from Stanford. He served as clinical lead for Partners in Health’s Ebola response in the Kono District of Sierra Leone, and he is an advisor to the Africa CDC on Covid-19 response on the continent. He is a specialist in biosocial approaches to epidemic disease and serves as chair of the Lancet Commission on Reparations and Restorative Justice. He is the author of Epidemic Illusions: On the Coloniality of Public Health.
