Application Checklist

  1. ASH Program Online Application.
  2. University of Hawaiʻi Transfer Student Application. Email us at semester@hawaii.edu to confirm submission upon completing steps 1 and 2. Students must apply and be officially accepted as a University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa transfer student in order to participate in the ASH Program. It is the responsibility of the student to confirm their acceptance.
  3. Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation from faculty, employment supervisor, or community or religious leaders. Please direct your two referees to this link.

***Housing Update (as of Spring 2023):
Due to increased demand of on-campus housing, the ASH Program cannot secure any holds for on-campus housing. We encourage you to find alternative housing off-campus in the case you are not granted on-campus housing. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Fall 2023 applications are now closed (Deadline: March 1, 2023).

Digital PDF and Hard Copy Applications:

Digital copies of the ASH Program Application, Personal Statement, Transcripts and Letters of Recommendation can be submitted directly to ASH at semester@hawaii.edu. If you are unable to submit these application materials digitally, please contact us at semester@hawaii.edu about how to mail hard copies of all materials (excluding the online UH system application and application fee) to the following address:
