This lesson will also be all about geological sampling on another planet in our solar system! Somehow the Mod 4 Environmental lessons were easier to sync together into one focused unit than any other.... and we don't go anywhere near the ocean! Who would have thought!
Not that we've done this lesson yet! We are still completing lab report write ups for lesson 2. Next week we'll get to this one. I hope it doesn't take as long as some people are suggesting. We are running out of time fast!

I would like to have done this outside on a field trip too... no time though. I just barely squeezed everything in by having kids working up until our very last class on Friday 5/24... No last day movies for us!!

Congratulations on creating the lesson for sampling on another planet. We are talking about both ocean and space in our class and making the connections between the two are not always as apparent. Hope it goes well.
Ours was decidedly the ocean floor and the "organisms" were things they would expect to see. The ocean is our backyard and while I had hoped to take this to the beach...alas, we were not able to make it there...yet....
