The University of Hawai’i will soon begin a project to upgrade the Banner Student Information System (SIS). To make this transition possible, the SIS and its connected systems (including STAR) will be temporarily unavailable. MyUH will also be replaced with a new interface, the eBanner Student Dashboard.

Official Transcripts & STAR Transcripts
Update as of January 5, 2026: Ordering for official transcripts remains unavailable. While we are working to restore this service, a definitive return date has not yet been established. We apologize for the inconvenience and will update this page as soon as more information becomes available.

Spring 2026 Registration & Overrides
During the upgrade (December 11, 2025 – January 2, 2026):
- You cannot register or make schedule changes. Classes you are already registered or waitlisted for will not be affected.
- Instructors and departments will also not be able to enter overrides during this time. To complete your Spring 2026 schedule, request any required overrides and register for those courses before December 11.
Plan ahead:
- We recommend saving a copy of your STAR GPS class schedule before December 11.
Key Dates:
- December 10, at 12:00 PM (HST): Last Spring 2026 waitlist notifications sent before outage.
- December 11, at 5:00 PM (HST): Class Availability will be removed.
- January 3, 2026: Browse Classes in the new eBanner Student Dashboard.
- January 3, 2026: Add/drop for Spring 2026 classes will resume in STAR GPS.
UH Students will be allowed to register for Spring 2026 classes even if they have an unpaid balance from the Fall 2025 semester. See the Temporary grace period announcement here.

Spring 2026 Tuition, Fees & Payment
During the upgrade (December 11, 2025 – January 2, 2026):
- Spring 2026 tuition, fees, and other charges will not appear STAR until January 3, 2026.
- Payments cannot be made until the system is live.
- For planning, check the tuition and fee schedule for estimated costs:
Key Dates:
- January 3, 2026: Spring 2026 payment plan enrollment opens. Previous unpaid balances, including any Fall 2025 balances, can be added to your Spring 2026 plan. First payment processed on January 15, 2026.
- January 9, 2026: Spring 2026 payment due date.
- March 28: 2026: Final payment deadline for all Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 balances. Students with unpaid balances will continue to receive balance notifications after that date.

STAR & MyUH Access
System Downtime:
- STAR and MyUH will go completely offline at 5:30 PM (HST) on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Plan Ahead:
- We recommend saving a copy of your STAR Spring 2026 registration class schedule and your STAR unofficial transcripts prior to December 11.
During the Upgrade:
- December 14: STAR will be view-only. You can only see information prior to December 11.
- January 3, 2026: STAR & STAR GPS fully back online for Fall 2025 grades and Spring 2026 add/drop.

Fall 2025 Grades & Academic Standing
Grading:
- Instructors will have a limited window to enter final grades for the Fall 2025 semester, but the final grading deadline of December 23, 2025 remains unchanged.
View Your Fall 2025 Grades:
- Official final grades will be available in STAR after the upgrade on January 3, 2026.
End-of-semester updates like your academic standing, repeat courses, Dean’s List, failed prerequisites, or planning for Spring 2026, may not be finalized until after the system upgrade. Check STAR for updates on January 3, 2026 or reach out to your academic advisor if you have questions.

Fall 2025 Degree Awarding & Diplomas
Degree Awards:
- If you are a Fall 2025 graduate and your application graduation status shows as Petitioned in STAR, your degree is expected to be officially conferred on or around February 6, 2026.
- To postpone or cancel your graduation, contact your academic advisor.
Diplomas:
Digital CeDiploma:
- Check your UH email starting March 13, 2026 for the invitation to download your verifiable digital diploma.
- The download link expires after 14 days. Download immediately, save, and upload to all of your devices.
Paper Diploma:
- Paradigm will start shipping diplomas to your diploma address on or around March 13, 2026.

Apostille Requests
To process your apostille request before the student system upgrade, your request, including any required documents, must be submitted by Monday, November 17, 2025. Submissions received after this date will be reviewed once the upgrade is complete (estimated January 3, 2026).

VA Certification
During the upgrade, School Certifying Officials (SCOs) will not be able to submit certifications to the VA.
Starting January 5, 2026, our VA team will process Spring 2026 certification request forms in the order they are received, and you will not lose your place in the queue. Once your Spring 2026 enrollment has been certified with the VA, you will receive a confirmation UH email.

Records Request Forms Deadlines
To ensure your request is processed prior to the upgrade, submit your request forms by the deadlines listed below. After these dates, forms will be temporarily unavailable until the upgrade is complete (estimated January 3, 2026).
November 12, 2025
- Students must submit their Application for Graduation by November 12, 2025 in order to allow time for processing prior to registering for the Fall 2025 commencement ceremony.

Banner & STAR User Request
For UH Mānoa Faculty and Staff only.
Banner & STAR User access:
As of November 12, 2025, ITS has disabled the UH BANNER Request for Access Privileges form. Requests for STAR Advisor access via the Request for STAR Advisor Access Privileges form will not be available starting November 21, 2025.
eBanner access request process:
Development of a new Kuali Build eBanner form and one-time request process is underway to provision 2,900 existing Banner users to eBanner. Information on eBanner groups and classes will be shared as it becomes available.

Grading Via the Faculty Self-Service Dashboard (faculty)
Step-by-Step Grade Submission Instructions:
- Log in here: https://experience.elluciancloud.com/uhsys
- Click “My Account.”
- Click “Open Faculty Dashboard.”
- Click “Grade Entry” under “Faculty Tools.”
- Under “My Courses” click “Grading Status” until you see the red or brown bars that show the grade areas for this semester.
- Click on the colored bar for the class you want to enter grades for.
- IMPORTANT: Using the right side bar, scroll DOWN. This is where you will find the grade entry for each student in the class.
- Enter grades.
- Hit save.
- Hit the back arrow on the top left.
- Repeat.
Grade Entry Window
- December 19-23 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (HST)
- Please double-check all grades prior to the final deadline.
- Corrections to grades must be finalized in the system before 4:00 PM (HST) on December 23, 2025.
- Final grading deadline: December 23, 2025, 4:00 PM (HST). Exceptions are not being granted for Fall 2025.
- Official final grades will be available in STAR: January 3, 2026.

FAQs & Additional Information
- Grades entered into Lamakū are not considered official, and must also be entered in the Self-Service Dashboard. The grades recorded in Lamaku and the Self-Service Dashboard should be identical.
- For grades of F, IF, NC, or INC, you must enter a Last Attend Date.
- Once grades are Saved, the Grading Status in the dashboard will change to Completed (green).
