Lecture – “The Philippines’ fight against corruption: Is there hope?” by Glenda M. Gloria
Please come and join us for a lecture by Glenda M. Gloria, co-founder and executive director of Rappler (a digital media organization). She will speak on the controversial corruption issues surrounding the government’s P1.9 trillion-peso flood control program during 2023-2025. Using the flood control scandal as a case study, she will analyze the country’s fight against corruption—specifically how the public responded, how disinformation networks exploited the crisis, and how civil society is leveraging it to drive long-term reform.
