Indigo Child by Rody de Vera tells the harrowing story of a son coming to terms with his mother’s painful experience being detained during the Marcos regime in the Philippines during his dictatorship in the 1970’s. Inspired by real-life experiences, the play examines the lingering effects of trauma resonating through the mother’s therapy and her son’s quest for resolution.
