CPS Undergraduate Student Leadership Awardee: Marlon D. Basilio

Marlon D. Basilio is a University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa student pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering and a BA in Philippine Languages and Literatures (Ilokano). He is the first awardee of the 2026 CPS Undergraduate Student Leadership Award. Marlon is a Dean’s List scholar and Baldwin High School valedictorian. He also earned the Seal of Biliteracy in Tagalog and Ilokano and speaks English and conversational Spanish. His experience includes engineering lab work, office support, and customer service, alongside active community service through Filipino cultural programs, youth mentorship, church volunteer work, and disaster relief efforts. His leadership and service contributions helped him receive a leadership award and stand out as a committed student leader. Marlon is currently the Executive Board Officer – President of Timpuyog, a student organization established by Ilokano students at UH.
