CPS Student Scholarships

Eligibility

•  UH student applicants on good standing can apply for one grant at a time and subject to the requirements of the grant or endowment.
• Applicants from other countries or institutions may not apply.

General Guidelines:

• Formal cover letter explaining the grant the applicant is seeking (ex., research proposal, conference travel, or publication support), with a strong justification for the proposed project.
• For conference travel grants only:(a) A letter explaining the conference significance and why the applicant’s attendance is important, (b) One to two academic reference letters, (c) Abstract and acceptance to the conference, and (d) Reimbursements not allowed.
• Writing sample (10-15 pages)
• Detailed time and budget of conference or research project, with justification.
• Final Report.upon project completion, and a lecture in the CPS Colloquium Series.

IMPORTANT: Incomplete applications will not be considered. Application materials must be submitted at least 30 days before the scheduled event, or departure in case of planned travel for fieldwork.
