Degree Requirements
Overview
All graduate degrees and graduate certificates include specific requirements to be met in order for degree or certificate completion.
Residency Requirement (5.524)
Classified graduate students are to meet residence requirements for each degree they are pursuing. Residence is defined by their enrollment at UHM.
Concurrent and Sequential Degrees (5.525)
More than one degree may be pursued at the same time, but the completion of the requirements for each are done independently. All requirements for both programs of study would need to be met.
Thesis and Dissertation (5.526)
The thesis and dissertation are culminating research projects for Master’s Plan A and doctoral students. Requirements related to the committee, content, and other related information as well as guidelines for submission at the end of the semester are to be met in order to graduate.
