Additional Notice to Ongoing Project

SUBJECT:
Hemenway Hall General Repairs

CONTRACTOR:
All Maintenance and Repair LLC

SCOPE OF WORK:

Steel window repair, aluminum entrances and windows, glazing, doors and frames, door hardware, hazardous materials abatement, masonry cleaning, full renovation of single and multi-user restrooms, a new lactation room per University standards, linoleum and ceramic tile floors, stainless steel toilet compartments, acoustical ceilings, room signage, interior and exterior painting, sheet metal flashing, new elevator in existing hoist way, structural repairs to the existing wood roof framing and plastered masonry exterior walls, new structural metal framing, upgrades to the building’s site utilities, including water and sewer lines, new concrete pavement, upgrades to the fire alarm system, electrical and lighting, plumbing and HVAC systems including new water chilled air conditioning and any appurtenant work necessary to complete the project. Temporary restroom facilities must be provided while restrooms are unusable.

Additive Bid 1: Concrete pavement at the courtyard and west sidewalk, as noted in the drawing, including new concrete graded for improved drainage and aesthetic, cleaning of existing drainage lines to improve drainage, and adjusting existing clean outs to match new grade.

Additive Bid 2: Interior corridor improvements, as noted on the drawings, including new linoleum flooring and base, acoustic and gypsum ceilings, lighting, gypsum wall repair, and paint. Room signage and door hardware and keying throughout the building.

EFFECTIVE DATES:

12/08/2025 - 12/08/2026

HOURS OF CONSTRUCTION:
7:00am - 4:00pm

ASBESTOS CONTAINING MATERIAL (ACM) ABATEMENT:
Removing approximately 7,600 sf of asbestos flooring and associated mastic; 325 sf of asbestos mirror mastic; 24 sf of asbestos sink insulation. Date(s) of abatement is yet to be determined. 2 weeks advance notice will be given and signage will be posted.

ACCESSIBLE ROUTES:
No accessible routes are affected by this work.

All persons in the vicinity of this construction are advised to respect all barricades and all posted safety/detour signs. Your patience, cooperation and understanding are requested as the inconveniences inherent to repair work (noise, dust, odors and debris) are generated by this construction.
