CONSTRUCTION NOTICE

SUBJECT:
Control Center Watanabe Hall Room 316 - Start of Construction

CONTRACTOR:
Kitsap Construction, LLC.

SCOPE OF WORK:

The project scope of work is to fully renovate Room 316 within Watanabe Hall.  Currently vacant, the former laboratory space will be converted into a space weather laboratory.  All improvements will provide the interior space and infrastructure for wall-mounted digital monitors, vertical wall space for user group art wall, and user furnished office furniture.

EFFECTIVE DATES:

01/20/2026 - 04/20/2026

HOURS OF CONSTRUCTION:
7:00AM-4:00PM Monday - Friday. Weekends or off-hours, as notified in advance.

ASBESTOS CONTAINING MATERIAL (ACM) ABATEMENT:
Non-friable ACM is identified on the vinyl flooring mastic (18 SF) in the corridor adjacent to Room 316, and the caulking at the room entry door (20 LF).

ACCESSIBLE ROUTES:
No accessible routes are affected by this work.

ADVISORY:
All persons in the vicinity of this construction are advised to respect all barricades and all posted safety/detour signs. Your patience, cooperation and understanding are requested as the inconveniences inherent to repair work (noise, dust, odors and debris) are generated by this construction.
