Math/Science Tutoring by Appointment via STAR Balance resumes Fall 2025

Connect With a math and science Tutor!

Book an appointment! (Resumes Fall 2025)

Math/Science uses “STAR Balance” to schedule and act as an online tutoring space. You can make up to three appointments a week. Once scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email!

1. Log in to STAR Balance via “https://www.star.hawaii.edu/appointment/.”

2. Select “Tutoring, Tech & Learning Centers” from the left navigation box.

3. Select “OLA Math/Science Tutoring.”

4. Filter to the subject you wish to be tutored in.

5. Scroll down and view the available time slots.

6. Select your time slot. You can schedule for either 30- or 60-minutes.

7. Complete the appointment questions sharing what you hope to cover in the appointment.

8. Check your hawaii.edu email for a confirmation email with the Zoom link, and complete the “Math/Science Pre-Appointment Form.”

9. Join the Zoom meeting when it’s time.

10. After your appointment, complete the “Math/Science Tutoring Feedback Form.“
