Micah Mizukami, PhD student in Second Language Studies recently traveled to Okinawa in July. While there, he was able to attend the Final Okinawa International and Interdisciplinary Seminar on Decolonizing Futures held at Okinawa International University and present "The Language of Diaspora and Return" using data from his second qualifying paper with the Department of Second Language Studies. Micah intends to return to Okinawa at the end of November to meet and collaborate with others, continuing his dissertation research.
