Native Hawaiian Student Services

Student Support Page: We are here for you. Get in touch with us!

Aloha nui mai kākou,

Due to the global public health crisis caused by the Coronavirus (COVID19), NHSS doors at QLC113 are currently closed. But we are still here for you! We have daily virtual office hours, a student hotline with a 24 hour callback turn around, and all of our staff are available and working to serve you every day.

As for our summer programming, we are currently re-working it to suit the new online mandates for classes and programming. Subscribe to our newsletter, check out website and follow our IG and FB pages to stay updated on summer opportunities such as the Ea Hawai’i Field School, Summer Institute Tuition-free summer school, the Kekaulike Summer Internships, the ʻŌiwi Undergraduate Research Fellowship, Kekaulike Summer Bridge, Nā Pua Noʻeau UH Mānoa programming and the Fall Native Hawaiian New Student Orientation.

We see this pandemic, and the problems it exposes as an opportunity to push forward Hawaiian frameworks of aloha ʻāina with unprecedented might and as much as possible, we are designing our programs to support that.

Please click on the icon above to go to a COVID-19 Student Support page that includes resources, including financial resources, to help you through this disorienting time, information on accessing current NHSS services and summer programs, and new and exciting learning and program opportunities that are available to you. We are here for you. Please donʻt hesitate to reach out for any reason.

Stay healthy and stay informed,

Willy Kauai
Director, Native Hawaiian Student Services
