Day 3 Manaʻo for Cohort Kaulua Wednesday, July 23, 2025

Cohort participants engaging in a Piko Exercise together and reflecting on their experience and closeness to the piko.

For our third day together within the ʻili ʻāina of Pilipili, it seemed that the connective nature of our physical place and location for the day has become imbued into the conversations and reflections that we have been witnessing and hearing throughout the day. As my team member ʻĀnela had spoken about earlier this morning, feelings (felt theory, affect theory) are important because they become imbued into the work that we produce, like the lei that we might make for someone beloved, or the food that we prepare for friends and family. One word staying with me is connectivity because this place of Pilipili has had such a tangible impact on us today.
