Day 2 Manaʻo for Cohort Kaulua July 22, 2025
For the second day of our cohort, we again had the opportunity to participate in concurrent Pilina Circles and mālama ʻāina activities at Ka Papa Loʻi ʻo Kānewai. Hālau o Haumea, our home base for the day, and Ka Papa Loʻi ʻo Kānewai are two spaces that are consistent throughout our Cohort Kumukahi and Cohort Kaulua offerings, and spending all day near the bubbling ʻauwai and the flowing kahawai was a beautiful extension of our invitation to build pilina with ʻāina. Plus the lovely rains and winds that visited us throughout the day and the birdsong in the trees kept us cool and comfortable! One word staying with me from the one-word close that my wonderful co-facilitator Karen led us through during our Pilina Circle this afternoon is reciprocity.
