Aloha pumehana kākou, 

Keu ā ka nani nā pua onaona e kau mai ana i kēia anahulu poepoe a me ka mahina ʻo Lāʻau. Ulu mai nā hua i ka ua e kulu ana ma ʻaneʻi i kēia kauwela. ʻAʻole au i ʻike ma mua i kēia lāʻau pōpolo (ma loko o ke kiʻi ma luna), no laila eia ka ʻōlelo noʻeau maikaʻi a kākou e heluhelu aʻe ana:

E noho malalo o ka lāʻau maka iho mai ka huihui, māʻona ka ʻōpū. 
Sit under a green tree. When the cluster comes down, the stomach is filled.

There is abundant beauty in the sweet flowers that are appearing during this week of the full moons and with the Lāʻau moon. The fruits are growing because of the rains that are falling here during this warm summer season. I haven’t before seen this pōpolo plant (pictured above), so here is a fitting ʻōlelo noʻeau for us to read.
