Anahulu Poepoe 11/30 – 12/9/2025

UHM NH Updates: Anahulu Poepoe, Nowemapa & Kēkēmapa 2025 Sunday 11/30 - Tuesday 12/9/2025

A rounded moon setting behind Hawaiʻi Hall about a month ago on November 7, 2025.

Aloha e nā hoa heluhelu,

Below, the ʻōlelo noʻeau that we will be considering this anahulu can perhaps be a source of inspiration as we make our way to the ending of the semester (and transition to the new student information dashboard system!):

Pipī ka wahie, hoʻonui ka pulupulu.

If the firewood burns slowly, add more tinder.

Keep trying until you succeed. —ʻŌN#2659

As I myself am currently finishing final papers and projects, camaraderie among my friends, classmates, and writing groups has given me renewed inspiration and energy to keep writing and rewriting. Like adding more tinder to a fire, taking the time to reconnect with other people and talk through ideas together is so important for students.

Anahulu Reflection:

What else might you do in your life that adds more firewood to your hearth? Are there people in your life who help you to gather materials for kindling?
