MEDIA ADVISORY: 7-Eleven partners with Kapi‘olani CC students in healthy bento competition

Who: 8 Kapi‘olani Community College Culinary Arts student finalists are competing in the "Bring on the Bento" healthy bento competition
The students are in CULN 380-Nutritional Cuisines, which is part of the three-year advanced professional certificate program offered at Kapio‘olani CC.
What: 7-Eleven Hawai‘i is partnering with Kapi‘olani CC’s Culinary Arts and Culinology students to develop a better-for-you bento or bowl to potentially be sold at all 7-Eleven Hawaiʻi locations for a limited time in 2019.
When: Wednesday, November 28, 2018, 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Where: Kapi‘olani CC, Culinary Institute of the Pacific, 4500 Diamond Head Road
Why: This competition supports the local agriculture industry and local culinary talent.
How: Finalists must use at least two locally grown ingredients in the bento or bowl, which can contain no more than 700 calories.
