Dr. Reed W. Dasenbrock, a candidate for the position of UH Mānoa Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (VCAA), will visit the campus Monday and Tuesday, January 26-27, for interviews and meetings. Dr. Dasenbrock currently serves as Cabinet Secretary for the State of New Mexico‘s Department of Higher Education.

An open public meeting with the candidate will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Monday, January 26, at the Architecture Auditorium. After his presentation, there will be a 45- to 60-minute period for questions and answers.

"The VCAA Search Advisory Committee is pleased to have Dr. Reed Dasenbrock as an additional candidate for the chief leadership position in academic affairs," said Committee Chair Mary G. Boland. "We invite the UH community to take advantage of the scheduled forum and other meetings to engage with Dr. Dasenbrock and provide input to the Committee. Together, we will ensure that Chancellor Virginia S. Hinshaw receives our best advice to assist her in decision making."

In addition to sharing his vision for academic excellence at the January 26 public presentation, Dr. Dasenbrock will meet with various constituencies on campus. Information on the candidate and his two-day schedule may be found at www.hawaii.edu/executivesearch/vcaademicaffairs.
