Professional services consultant and construction contracts for UH systemwide CIP and R&M projects approved
University of HawaiʻiPEARL CITY, Oʻahu — Professional services (planning, design, project and construction management) consultant and construction contracts for a number of University of Hawaiʻi capital improvements program (CIP) and repairs and maintenance (R&M) projects were approved today by the University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents (BOR).
There are 20 professional services contracts worth $10.4 million with an estimated construction cost of $128 million, and 7 construction projects estimated at $17 million. The CIP and R&M projects planned to be undertaken and construction projects intended to be awarded are for the first quarter of the 2007-2008 fiscal year.
Among the professional services contracts approved by the BOR are:
- a planning contract for a project development report and assessment for renovations and addition to the Campus Center Complex at UH Mānoa;
- design contracts for modular buildings for the College of Pharmacy, addition and renovation to the Student Services Building, and various upgrades and improvements throughout the UH Hilo campus;
- a design contract for campus development of off-site infrastructure for UH West Oʻahu;
- and a variety of planning and design contracts for the UH community colleges, including a new advanced technology training center at Honolulu Community College and renovations and infrastructure upgrades at various sites.
Among the construction contracts approved are re-roofing of Hamilton Library and renovations to the Gateway House Dormitories food service facilities at UH Mānoa and bookstore improvements at Maui Community College.
