What: The University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu’s 2025 Mid-Year Commencement, held Dec. 13 on its campus in Kapolei.
Who: About 300 students received UH West Oʻahu degrees in summer and fall 2025 (about 190 participated in the Mid-Year Commencement ceremony). UH West O‘ahu graduates received their baccalaureate degrees in Applied Sciences, Business Administration, Creative Media, Cybersecurity, Humanities, Natural Science, Public Administration, and Social Sciences, as well as a multitude of certificates.
Graduates heard from student speakers Nicole Quibol (Bachelor of Arts in Humanities with a concentration in Philosophy) and Tinousi Mulitauaopele (Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with concentrations in Data Analytics and Finance). UH West Oʻahu also honored UH West Oʻahu Chancellor Maenette Benham. This was Benham’s final commencement ceremony as she will step down at the end of the year after nearly a decade of anchoring the campus in a culture of engaged scholarship and service rooted in Native Hawaiian values.
