MEDIA ADVISORY: Red Hill Registry Launch and Community Fair set for Saturday

WHAT: The public is invited to the official launch of the Red Hill Registry, an independent health registry created by the University of Hawaiʻi to track long-term health outcomes and provide resources for those affected by the 2021 fuel release into the Navy’s drinking water system. The family-friendly Red Hill Registry Launch and Community Fair will offer food, keiki activities, support services and opportunities to pre-enroll in the registry.
Speakers include:
- Aimee Grace, principal investigator and director of the UH Office of Strategic Health Initiatives
- U.S. Rep. Ed Case
- U.S. Rep. Jill Tokuda
- Jeffrey Freeman, director of the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences
- Lt. Cmdr. Shannon Bencs, former Red Hill Fuels director
- Ernie Lau, manager & chief engineer at the Board of Water Supply
