The AstroDay Institute, in collaboration with the University of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH) Conference Center, UHH Physics and Astronomy Department and the University of Hawaii Institute for Astronomy (IfA), is offering an "Ohana Weekend Learning" educational tour package in Hilo, Hawaii, from May 5-7, 2006.

Ohana Weekend Learning will immerse participants in the very best of the Big Island, including a VIP pass to the nationally recognized AstroDay Festival, an exploration of the newly opened Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawaii, an excursion to Volcanoes National Park with a UHH geologist, and stargazing at the 9,200-foot level Visitor Information Station with a UHH astronomer. The event begins with a welcome banquet in Hilo with an IfA astronomer and a Hawaiian cultural practitioner.

The tour package, which includes accommodations, all meals and transportation for independent arrival travelers, is $395 per person and $295 for children 14 years and under. Don't miss this opportunity for a shared learning experience for the entire family!
