Joy Graham, Head of Public Services at the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) Health Sciences Library, has been elected Chair of the Hawaii-Pacific Chapter of the Medical Library Association. The group represents more than two dozen health sciences libraries at hospitals and college campuses in Hawaii.

Graham joined the Medical School staff last year after serving as hospital librarian for the St. Francis Healthcare System. She has worked in the medical library field more than 20 years.

The Hawaii-Pacific Chapter of the Medical Library Association will hold its 2006 meeting on Tuesday, April 4 at JABSOM‘s new Kaka‘ako campus, with a videoconference to the Hilo Medical Center.

"It‘s crucial to our mission as health sciences librarians to utilize state-of-the-art technologies so that medical students and clinicians keep up with the most current advances," says Graham.
