WHAT: University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff across a variety of disciplines will showcase their research projects at the Hawaiʻi State Capitol for the third annual UH Mānoa Research Day.
Researchers will showcase some of the newest studies and groundbreaking findings. There will also be informational tables and interactive activities on the 4th floor and the auditorium, demonstrating UH Mānoa’s research on some of Hawaiʻi's most pressing issues: environmental conservation and sustainability, AI and technology, health and wellbeing, Hawaiian language and culture, and more. This year’s research day theme is UH Mānoa Research and Creative Works for the Wellbeing of Current and Future Generations.
WHEN: Tuesday, February 4, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. (intro and video presentations in the auditorium from 9 a.m.–10 a.m. and demonstrations and posters from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. on the 4th floor)
WHO: More than 100 UH Mānoa students, researchers, faculty and staff are scheduled to participate in presentations, demonstrations and informational tables.
WHY: Hawaiʻi lawmakers and representatives are invited to engage with UH Mānoa students, faculty and staff to learn about the wide variety and impact of research initiatives.
