Kapiʻolani CC 2024 Fall Commencement on December 20
Kapiʻolani Community CollegeKapiʻolani Community College will hold its 2024 Fall Commencement on Friday, December 20, 4 p.m. at the Diamond Head Theatre. The ceremony will be available via live stream at: https://www.youtube.com/live/eTNVNJPImFI
Approximately 90 students will be recognized for completing their degree and certificates in programs including Liberal Arts, Business, Legal, Information Technology, Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Tourism, and Health Sciences.
The student speaker will be Sergeant Siarra Clark. She is receiving her Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology, earned while serving as an active duty soldier in the U.S. Army. During her time at Kapiʻolani CC, Sgt. Clark served as the President of the Psychology Club and is also a member of the college’s National Society of Leadership and Success chapter. Sgt. Clark plans to continue her higher education at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in pursuit of a doctoral degree.
The keynote speaker will be Kaʻiminaʻauao Kahikina, an alumnus of Kapiʻolani Community College who earned his Associate of Arts in Hawaiian Studies and Liberal Arts in 2017. Kahikina’s inspiring journey continued at the University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and will graduate this fall with a Master of Arts in Political Science. He is now pursuing a PhD in Political Science focusing on Indigenous Politics.
