HONOLULU — In a letter sent to UH Interim President David McClain, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) stated that a Panel of the Interim Report Committee was "pleased" with the progress of the University of Hawaiʻi System in several areas and encouraged efforts to sustain it. The letter from WASC Executive Director Ralph Wolff noted "well-established and effective" relations with the Board of Regents, a slight increase in state funding, and an increase in tuition support. The letter also acknowledged the continuation of the University‘s strategic planning and the consultations with several system-wide groups of faculty, students and Chancellors.
