WHAT:  Nine of the 10 University of Hawaiʻi campuses will hold their spring 2022 commencement ceremonies beginning today, May 13 and wrap up on Saturday May 14. (UH West Oʻahu held its ceremonies on May 7.)

WHO: More than 4,000 UH students will participate in the commencement ceremonies. 

ADDITIONAL FACTS:

  • For some of the campuses this is the first traditional ceremony since the pandemic began in 2020.

  • Graduates from 2020-2022 were invited to participate in several of the ceremonies.

Commencement Schedule:

​​May 13: 

May 14: 

  • UH Mānoa  – 9 a.m., in person ceremony (A livestream of the ceremony may be viewed from Murakami Stadium.)

  • UH Hilo – 9 a.m., in-person ceremony will be held at the Edith Kanakaʻole Tennis Stadium. The ceremony is limited to registered graduates and their registered guests. An online component will be available that day.

  • Hawaiʻi Community College–Pālamanui (Kona) –10 a.m.–1:30 p.m., drive-through ceremony will be held on campus. Only graduates will be allowed to exit their vehicles

  • UH Mānoa – 3 p.m., in-person ceremony with livestream

  • UH Maui College – 5–6:30 p.m., in-person ceremony will be held on campus, with no spectator limit and a livestream will be available
