WHAT:  Announcement of a free workforce development initiative to aid O‘ahu residents whose employment has been impacted by COVID-19.

WHEN: Monday, September 28, 2020, 1:30 p.m. (media should plan to arrive by 1:15 p.m. to set up any cameras)

WHY:  The coronavirus pandemic has dramatically resulted in negative impacts on the state’s economy and displaced many workers. 

NOTE: Park at the box office of the Neal Blaisdell Center. Enter from Ward Avenue, mauka direction.

Members of the media are invited to Monday’s press conference and are reminded to wear face coverings and practice safe physical distancing. The press conference will also be streamed on Mayor Caldwell’s Facebook page.
