WHAT: To celebrate the 2020 college graduation and respect social distancing, Windward Community College will hold a Commencement Celebration Caravan around campus. 

Graduates in cars will first gather at the Hale Aʻo parking lot for a short video ceremony projected on a large screen, with sound via FM 91.9 radio (only available on campus), then proceed with a procession of cars around campus. Faculty, staff and VIPs will be parked along the route to cheer their achievements. At the last round (2 rounds), refreshments will be distributed to cars. Cars will then exit campus.

WHEN: FRIDAY, MAY 22, 2020

5–6:00 p.m. (Graduates gather at Hale Aʻo parking lot 4–4:40 p.m.)

WHO: 300+ graduates are invited. Windward CC Chancellor Ardis Eschenberg, Vice Chancellors Charles Sasaki and Judy Oliveira, Rep. Scot Matayoshi, Rep. Lisa Kitagawa, Harold K.L. Castle Foundation CEO Terry George and Georgi DeCosta, Jamee Miller, Robert Medeiros, and Lisa Takatsugi from Kamehameha Schools, alumna Jacquie Maly, as well as Windward CC Student Government representative Jennifer Adams and student speaker Bernadette Pada, along with faculty and staff.

WHERE: Start at Hale A‘o parking lot (first lot on campus), travel via car around campus.

HOW: Graduates will stay in cars for the entire event.  Audio will be via radio (on-campus only): 91.9 FM
