UH Saxophone Choir

March 30, 2015, 7:30 pm

$5 – $12

UH Saxophone Choir
The University of Hawaii Saxophone Choir, a student/community ensemble under the direction of Todd Yukumoto, will premiere many new works for the ensemble.  Stepen Barr’s Dorian Canons and Thomas Osborne’s Blur were composed specifically for this performance.  New arrangements, including Bernstein’s Slava (arr. Dennis Kaneshiro), Grainger’s Molly on the Shore (arr. John Peterson) and Glinka’s Overture to Russlan and Ludmilla (arr. Yukumoto) round out the program.

Guest conductors include former UH Lecturer of Saxophone Kazu Sunabe and Director of the UH Marching Band David Blon.

Come join us for a wonderful evening of saxophone music making at its very best!
