Overview:

Located in the Pacific Ocean, USP offers programs and courses that are designed to incorporate the unique perspective of the Pacific. You will get first-hand experience through field trips in Marine Studies, Tourism, Geography, Environmental Science, Biology, and more. USP is recognized as the premier institution for higher education in the South Pacific Region and is ranked in the top 50 universities in the Oceania region. USP offers programs that are available to students from undergraduate to PhD level.

USP’s main campus is located in Laucala Bay, Suva, Fiji. With faculty from across the Pacific and the rest of the world, USP is a leader is Pacific Studies and other areas including tourism and engineering. Academic Details:

The Preliminary and Foundation programs are offered by Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE) and include qualifying courses for entry into an undergraduate program. Pacific TAFE offers these programs in 3 streams: Business, Arts, and Science. For more information, click on the Course Search link under Useful Links for Exchange Students below. USP offers 4 modes of study: face-to-face, online, print, and blended. Housing Details:

There are several types of accommodation available to international students intending to study at the Laucala Campus in Fiji. Accommodation on campus comes in standard and premium options. Students wishing to immerse themselves with the locals may wish to stay at the Halls of Residences, as these accommodation types allow for such an immersion and adds to your study abroad experience.

Off-campus accommodation is available at all campuses. Students are advised to contact USP’s on-campus staff at the campus location at which they will be studying so they can assist with finding suitable off-campus accommodation. At the Laucala campus in Fiji, there are many flats and apartments that are rented to international students. These may be semi- or fully furnished, and rates will depend on the level of furnishing. USP International gives students the chance to share in the day-to-day experiences with a host family in Suva, Fiji.
