Overview:

Students studying Italian Language and Culture at Ca’Foscari University of Venice will receive a culturally enriching experience that will leave them feeling like a true Venetian. The university’s summer program combines language and culture classes with a number of excursions and field trips around Venice, including Art and History Museum tours, walking guides through the city, dragon boating tours, and trips to Venice’s surrounding islands. Students will complete the program with an extensive knowledge of Venetian history, and modern life in “the floating city.”

Academic Details:

The program combines Italian language courses with courses focusing on different aspects of Italian and Venetian culture, such as art history, design, and literature to create an authentic culturally enriching learning experience for students. Language classes are held Monday to Friday. Culture classes will be taught in English for those in level A1 and A2 Italian classes, or will be taught in Italian for those in level B1 or higher. In total, students will receive 50 or 70 hours of Italian language studies, as well as 15 optional hours of cultural seminars and activities. Classes include final exams.
