Frank Stewart, editor of Mānoa Journal and professor of English, retired from teaching at the end of the spring 2017 semester. He continues as the head of Mānoa.

Hiroshi Aramata on Yosihiko Sinoto

Hiroshi Aramata interviewed Dr. Yosihiko Sinoto—the subject of Curve of the Hook: An Archaeologist in Polynesia—in Honolulu in the 1990s, and out of this series of interviews came two books. The original, Rakuen Kōkogaku, was published in Japanese by Heibonsha Ltd., of Tokyo.
