Lyon Arboretum’s Micropropagation Lab Featured in Hawaii Business Magazine

The Micropropagation Lab, which is housed within Lyon Arboretum’s Hawaiian Rare Plant Program (HRPP) was recently featured in Hawaii Business Magazine’s October 2017 issue. The piece, which featured commentary from multiple Hawaii environmental agencies, discussed the critical importance of the preservation work done by the lab and others to prevent Hawaii’s rarest plant and animal species from going extinct. The article also discussed the diminishing funding allocated to Hawaii conservation agencies, despite having the highest concentration of critically endangered species in the world.
