Directions + Parking

For public performances, the parking lot behind Kennedy Theatre is usually available for patrons. To get to the rear parking lot, turn left immediately after the parking kiosk on East-West Road (Correa Road). If you don’t have a UHM Parking Pass you must pay for a visitor parking pass at the pay station. Credit card only. Cash is not accepted. The paid parking slip then needs to be displayed on your vehicle dashboard. Click link for more information on visitor parking. You can also click here to review the twelve UH Parking Policies.

“All motor vehicles parking on University property must have either a valid UHM parking permit/pass, a Warrior Quick Pass, or a ticket from a Pay Station. Permit requirement is enforced Monday – Saturday, including Green Days (except during State Holidays, and special events).”

6:00am – 4:00pm M-F, the paid visitor parking fee is $3.00 for 30 minutes for a maximum of three hours in the Visitor Lots. The closest Visitor Parking Lot (green curbs and lines) is directly behind Kennedy Theatre. Please note that any white lined parking spaces are reserved for UHM parking pass holders only (faculty, staff, students) until 4:00pm M-F unless otherwise posted.

As of Jan 4, 2023 – Visitors can park in any unreserved stall on upper campus starting at 4 p.m. until midnight M-F for $1 per hour payable at the parking pay stations in the Visitor Lots, for demarcated spots on upper campus (except spots marked “reserved 24 hours”). UHM parking pass holders (faculty, staff, students) can park on upper campus after 4:00pm and on weekends (aside from official UHM special event interruptions, like football games).

Saturdays have a $5 flat rate for the day for visitors – subject to special event restrictions. *UPDATE – As of October 1, 2023, Saturday parking on campus is free – with the exception of special events. Double check the posted signs where you park to confirm if you need a paid parking pass or not.

On Sundays parking is free throughout upper and lower campus but subject to change for special events. Please check the parking machine kiosks and any posted signs for more information when parking on campus on a Sunday.

Sometimes non-Kennedy Theatre special events hire parking attendants after hours – inquire with them about the event you’re attending at Kennedy Theatre and where you can park.

More info about parking locations, pay stations, maps, pricing, etc. can be found at: https://manoa.hawaii.edu/commuter/visitors/

Parking for Patrons with Disabilities

Two accessible parking stalls are available in front of the theatre and there are three more accessible parking stalls right behind the theatre on a first-come, first-served basis. Other accessible parking is available throughout campus.
