Presentations at the Language Documentation and Archiving Conference

 

UHM Linguistics was well represented at the 3rd Language Documentation and Archiving conference, held in Berlin, September 9-11. Six students presented in person: Cedar Lay, Sydney Ludlow, Violet King, Jillian Breithaupt, Yumi Standlee, Armando and Molina Gomez. Josiah Murphy also presented remotely. Faculty members Leah Pappas and Gary Holton also presented at the conference, and following the conference Pappas and Holton participated in the annual meeting of the Digital Endangered Languages and Musics Archiving Network (DELAMAN).   All of the UHM presentations were well-received, reflecting the department's continued leadership in this field.
