Gary Holton at Eyak Culture Camp

In August 2025 Gary Holton participated in the annual Eyak Culture Camp in Cordova, Alaska. The event drew over 30 participants from across Alaska and the US to the ancestral lands of the Eyak (dAXunhyuu) people for five days of language learning and cultural celebrations. During the camp language workshops for both adults and children were led by a dedicated group of dAXunhyuu who have been actively reclaiming their language.
