Professor Andrew Cheng and Lisa Jeon (University of North Texas) have published an entry in the Wiley Blackwell Encyclopedia of World Englishes, “American English Phonology“, describing sound features that distinguish varieties of English spoken in the U.S. and Canada from other English varieties.
