The ten images below represent this species as it occurs in the state of Washington. "Crossing studies indicate that var. hambleniae and var. farinosum are not separate species. They produce fertile hybrids both in the greenhouse and in nature. Although there is a portion of the range where both the yellow-flowered variety and the typical white-flowered variety are found exclusively, both color variants and intermediates are found where the ranges overlap; a pattern of geographic distributions and intermediacy fits well within the concept of a variety."
