- Hawaiʻi Congressional Papers Collection
The Hawai'i Congressional Papers Collection (HCPC) preserves the papers of Hawaiʻi’s post-statehood members of Congress. Subjects that are especially well documented in the collections include land, agriculture, tourism, the military, Native Hawaiian health and education, federal recognition and reparations, civil rights issues, maritime issues, U.S. policy in Asia and the Pacific, and healthcare.
- Manuscript Collections
The Manuscript Collections document the people, history, culture, and politics of Hawai'i, supporting research, teaching, and public awareness. Major collections include the Hawai'i War Records Depository, the Japanese American Veterans Collection, and the records of the Institute of Pacific Relations and related organizations.
- University Archives
The University Archives acquires, organizes, and preserves UH-related historical material and provides access and support for reference and research. Holdings consists of non-current university records of enduring value, and also personal papers of faculty, administrators, staff, and alumni.
In 2019, the UH Mānoa Library launched an online catalog for archival materials to make searching for relevant collections easier. This catalog currently has information on selected archival materials from the University Archives and Manuscript Collections, from the Hawaiian and Pacific Collections, and from the Charlot Collection. The catalog is a work in progress, and we will continue to improve and expand existing collection records—as well as add information about additional collections—as time goes on.
