Performing + Exploring Kabuki @UH Mānoa

In appreciation of the continued support of ICHIKAWA Monnosuke VIII, a well-known kabuki actor from Japan, a combination of exhibits has been launched in cooperation with Dept. of Theatre and Dance: Performing Kabuki features participation of UH students in Kabuki stage performances, and Exploring Kabuki focuses on Kabuki-related research at UH and special collection resources in Hamilton Library, including Kaizawa Collection and Russia Collection. Those exhibits are showcased alongside a newly installed Kabuki Theater model in the Asia Collection Reading Room.
