This online exhibit Human Brutality and Dignity is held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Kwangju Uprising, a pivotal moment in Korean history and in the movement for democracy. It highlights how we remember the event with collections of records and the memory to reconcile the past, shape our identity, and to move forward. This exhibit is organized by Korea Collection at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Library and LIS student Minyoung Chung.
