Hoan Nguyen is a MA student from the Department of Second Language Studies. Before joining the MA program, she worked as a Vietnamese teacher for an after class language program at Washington Middle School. She also worked as a Vietnamese translator and interpreter for a local translation company (JN Production) for over four years. Her research and professional interests have revolved around second language processing and proficiency-oriented language instruction. Currently, she has been working on a project on Vietnamese heritage learners’ language processing. In her free time, she likes to listen to music, go hiking, yoga and web design.
