Ces Jocson

     Ces Jocson is a dedicated educator and multilingual professional hailing from the Philippines. With a passion for language and culture, Ces holds a BA in Second Language Studies & Philippine Language and Culture from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, where she explored topics like second language teaching, acquisition, testing, and global English pedagogy. Ces also achieved a BS in Management from Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines, graduating cum laude. Her education also included a semester abroad in Innsbruck, Austria, where she studied non-profit social and healthcare management.

     Ces has diverse work experience, including roles as a Lecturer of Filipino Language and Culture and as an Educational Specialist at the University of Hawai’i. She has been an active contributor to research projects and created various language and culture modules in English and Filipino. Ces is a passionate advocate for community service, volunteering for various organizations such as Tagnawa for Maui, Habitat for Humanity, and ATD Fourth World Philippines.

     Fluent in Filipino and English, with intermediate proficiency in German and novice-level Spanish, Ces is also skilled in various technologies and holds certifications related to research and information privacy. Her culinary background as a Sous Chef and Kitchen Manager demonstrates her versatility and leadership abilities in diverse roles. Ces is a well-rounded individual with a commitment to education, research, community service, and culinary excellence.
