Rolling Deadline

As part of Pacific Forum’s continuing mission of strengthening both ends of the US-India bilateral, they offer the Seminar on Contemporary India.

Under the guidance of an experienced lecturer, young American citizens – early career professionals and university students – will have the opportunity to study contemporary Indian political and strategic thought, lead discussions for a group of their peers and publish with Pacific Forum.

Reading materials will be covered, thanks to the support of the Hindu American Foundation. Upon completion of course requirements, including the publication, participants will receive a modest honorarium.

Slots are still available for their spring session.

Preference will be given to professionals/students who have not yet had the opportunity to study or work in India.

Seminar Description

The Seminar on Contemporary India offers a chance to learn about one of America’s most critical 21st century partners from Pacific Forum’s experts and thought leaders. The seminar is geared toward aspiring and early-career American diplomats, analysts, and experts under the age of 30, preferably who have not had the opportunity to study India in-depth. It will allow participants to learn about, read, and discuss contemporary issues in Indian governance and foreign relations.

The seminar will be held in a virtual format, with flexible hours to accommodate different time zones. Participants will have opportunities to publish their research under the guidance and expertise of Pacific Forum experts.
